James Kennedy was arrested on December 10, 2024, in Burbank, California, on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic violence. The arrest followed an incident at his residence, where a woman reported that her boyfriend had lifted her up and thrown her to the ground.

The Vanderpump Rules alum, 32, was taken into custody around 11:50 p.m. and later released on a $20,000 bail. The Burbank Police Department responded to the scene after receiving a call about an argument between a man and a woman. Upon investigation, they determined it was a domestic incident, leading to Kennedy’s arrest.

Following the arrest, Kennedy’s girlfriend of nearly three years, Ally Lewber, addressed the situation publicly. In the days following the incident, Ally was seen moving her belongings out of the home she shared with Kennedy in the San Fernando Valley. Kennedy was photographed assisting her with the move, carrying items to her vehicle. Reports indicate that Ally is temporarily staying at an Airbnb with her family as she processes the situation and considers her next steps. Despite these developments, sources suggest that the couple remains together, though Ally’s family is providing her with support during this time.

Kennedy’s legal team has responded to the allegations, stating: “We are in the process of conducting our own investigation into the allegations levied by the Burbank Police Department against James. We understand that there were no injuries and we are hoping that, after careful review, the city’s attorneys will decide not to file formal charges.”
